Today nothing much happen lah. During Chinese period, Madam Wang continued rattling on that our class thinks nothing about her Chinese lesson. Excerpts:

"我很仔细地改你们的作文."

"我花费时间改你们的句子, 改你们的错字,给你们作文的评语."

"所以我希望你们可以用心地去仔细重读你们的作文."

Ahem ahem. Who believes her? Let me show you my composition. Where to read her comments when there is none for me to read? Hah! Crap...

Today English lesson also slack. Go to computer lab do some 150 word essay competition. Haha, did not finish.

After school got ICAS, the test quite ok lah, hope can score well then got more Physics ACE points. Yay!

After ICAS, went to lab to do experiments for start-up. Sianz, also managed to solve the Math Challenge 5. So interesting. After finish experiments, still got like about 15-20 stalks of orchids left, then we go play with the rest of the orchids. Jia Xi and I put one stalk into each of the following solutions:

Chloroform, 20% isopropyl, 70% sulphuric acid, 0.1M Calcium Chloride, 50% Ice-Cold Ethanol, 100% Ice-Cold Ethanol, 50% Methanol, Extracted Colour Solution of the Orchid Flower

Oh oh! Torturing the plants leh. Aiya, never mind, just use the extras to try out for fun. Hehe. Tomorrow go lab see how the flowers are doing. Do they die? Tomorrow we shall know!

That's all,

Ok, start from the events on Monday.

The day kicked off with double Chinese. Lol, Madam Wang gave back our Chinese composition. Then she started analysing and going through the model essays. But she was very fed-up as many of us were not attentive and were talking/doing things among ourselves. Ah! Then she started making the following remarks:

我觉得你们越来越不尊重华文这个科目了!

如果你们只会科学和数学,你们只会成为只会操控的人!

你们学的这些知识在你们长大后有用吗? 没有用!

只有那些掌握好语文及人文科的人才会有成熟的思想, 懂得怎样好好地做人!

Wth, how could she say that of other subjects. This is no different from a racist => criticising critically about other things. Well, her rattling made time flies and the bell rang...

Woa, double English Ms. Loh today also not here. Ms. Andrea Hoa relieved. Yay! Slack period leh. Went through awhile the debate requirements and split up into Book Circle groups to come up with debate topics. Then all of us were crapping amongst ourselves in our respective groups. Lol, then very soon, bell rang... =)

After school, went back home after staying in school for awhile. Tuesday got Physics and Geography Mock tests so must go home early...

Tuesday:
Today all first three periods all tests => Physics and Geography Mock Tests. The geography questions came. I stunned => Test on urban microclimate. I didn't know that urban microclimate was tested !!! I thought Ms. Gwee said only Global Warming, El Nino & La Nina, Types of Climate & Vegetations only. Haiz, no choice, crapped out some answers. Geography is like that one. Test tell you study lot lot, questions come out only on one or two topics.

Next is Physics test. Woa, Mr. Tan very good, tell us a lot of "hints".. haha, and he say we will laugh when we see the question. Hah, ok, so today's physics test quite ok lah. Lol, the bonus question was interesting:

The question was set based on a scene in a movie (forgot what title le). Got two person want to escape from a prison, i suppose. Then the prison got high voltage power lines.
One said,
"Are you crazy, we are going to get fry!"
Another said,
"Didn't you take high school physics? When we are wearing shoes, we wouldn't get electrocuted!"
Question: Who was right? Why?

I chose the another one. Lol, some others have different answers. But never mind, bonus question only. FYI only...

Double Math was interesting. Today, i dio called up by Mr. Png to do questions. Argh! Lol. Goh Wei Leong also got called up. Question: Integrate (1/3x+1) with respect to x. Lol, do until got 1/0. Oh oh ! Undefined. Haha, dio Mr. Png do 10 push-ups. Lol... Woa, then Goh Wei Leong later got called up then know how to do a difficult question: Integrate (x/x+1) with respect to x. Woa, whole class only he and jun hui know how to do. Maybe the push-ups make him wake up!!

English was interesting. Ms. Loh was very humourous and keep on niaoing Kevin Seng. Haha, there are good times and really bad times.

Woa, Chemistry practical Mr. Vincent Tan not here. Ah! Lab technician, Madam Long took over. She very nice, very patient. Then we also obidient do our own practical lor. Haha...

Now, at home, tomorrow got Biology test! Lots of facts to remember. Topics => Homeostasis, Eye. Argh! Got to study now!

I never blog for the past 4 days cause I am busy as test week is coming.

Well, for the past 4 days, quite a hectic schedule.

Thursday's Math Test should be quite ok bah, left one 4 mark question blank. Tadah => GG!! Friday got CCA, Saturday got CCA...
Haiz, only sunday get to rest AWHILE because have to revise for tests.

Today whole day revised for physics, do math and watch TV only. Still got biology and geography mock test haven't study. Die man, don't know if tomorrow have time to study or not. Biology more scary, because geography mock test only.

Today, physics revised magnetism, current and practical electricity. Do the Physics Workout MCQ Questions. I think altogether i did about 150 MCQ questions. Tired. The structured questions one only do a few circuit analysis questions. Because, dam sian liao... Haven't revise waves, maybe tomorrow just look through formulas can le...

Then finished up math. Cool, luckily not much homework.

Then now got time to blog. Haha..

Today's Chinese lesson was a "surprise" class test. Madam Wang just came in and gave us the questions. Then got some people late for Chinese lesson then got less time to do the test. Oh... =(

Today nothing much. My flu is more or less ok now already. But don't know why in class suddenly feeling abit feverish. But now as I am typing, quite ok le.

As I am feeling feverish, today did not go for weights training. Implies that I PON diao lah... xD. But got miracle, I recovered! Went for light pollution meeting. Finalised more details.

Went back home. Slacked awhile, cause very tired don't know why. Then got physics worksheet, biology worksheet, chemistry worksheet. Then ZAM. Implies that I finished the worksheetS liao lor... Hehe... So happy. Revised math.

Ok, for now, need to complete part of english essay and do content for Japan trip Open House. Implies that lots of things still need to be completed and cannot sleep early. =(

I hope can do well for tomorrow's math test. I revise that time just glanced through examples and exercises only... Don't know whether enough or not. Hope can do well!

Today is a bad day for me. The flu bug in my body (believed to have been already inside since last week) finally unleashed it's DNA into my body cells, causing my nose mechanism to spoil, causing water to keep dripping off my nose. Oh gosh ! Utility bills must be high this month. Time to get a plumber to repair it too...

It was an uncomfortable feeling and with water coming out of my nose, it's really difficult to concentrate during lessons.

During recess, went down to eat laksa in hope that it can sort of stop the problem. It worked but when I stepped into class (air-con is on already), the water start coming out again. It must be the air-con's fault, it must be disinfected!! They don't want to off the air-con and open the windows. Never mind, next time I recover liao, you all dio it (I wouldn't say touch wood here), see how you all feel. Then i don't want open windows or off air-con for you all. Even Mr. Png also got it lah, he sneezed two times xD.

Something unfortunate happened during English lesson. Perhaps, the gases have been trapped in the volcano for too long. The immense pressure has caused all the pyroclastic materials to explode out... Sad... Serious damaage to environment, community and animals. Never mind, that's what roots & shoots is here for !!

Today's post quite short because I quite tired and also nothing much to say lah.

Cyaz, take care,

Sunday was pretty slack at home. Usual stuff - doing homework, slacking, watching TV...

Today's sun is scorching hot. Sweating everywhere I go. Double period Chinese, Madam Wang became very serious becuase got Head of Chinese Department, Mr. Tan Yew Keng, to listen to her teaching... Nothing much.. everyone can see through that she is putting up a very good show...

Double English is very funny. We were supposed to discuss in groups about our composition template. Then Ms. Loh wrote her suggested framework on the board for us to follow when discussing our template. Then suddenly, Ms. Loh made the following remarks:

"The more I look at the template, the more I feel it's very perfect."

"With such a good template, I think you guys should not give it a miss so please copy down now. Please copy it on a fresh piece of paper as such perfect work should deserve its place on a clean, fresh piece of paper."

"Guys, you cannot copy in pencil because the pencil mark will fade away.. Please copy it in pen."

LMAO, ROFL, I was laughing like mad in class. I could not stop laughing when Ms. Loh made the above remarks... =.= Most interesting English lesson ever...

As usual, went to weights room for training after school. This time got a solid training programme liao. Dam cool.. Haha...

Went to lab after eating lunch. Very long never step into lab and do experiments le... Now feel so strange about the lab equipments, luckily not to the stage of complete strangers. Did colour pigmentation test. Got rose syrup to drink.. Hehe...

I suppose today no homework so quite free...

Cyaz then,

There's nothing much on friday. Got ironman briefing and CCA after that.

Today's ironman preliminary contest very fun and challenging. It really stimulates the participants' minds to think creatively and fast.

First task: Design a car using provided materials in 2 hours. The movement of car can only be induced using a cloth peg. (There are also other tiny little details/rules but shall not mention here, too long)

The above is the overview of the first task. Quite challenging uh? You have to decide how the car will move. Moreover, you have to carry some drink packets (full). The more you carry, the higher your score. Nevertheless, some groups decide to bend and play with the rules, using unorthodox methods... Results: More than 50% of the teams = 0cm moved...

Second task: Teams are divided into two groups. First group: Translate a series of questions into codes (cannot use any known language, symbols, shapes, etc). Second group: After first group has coded, second group is supposed to decode and answer the question. I in second group so have to wait for the code to come then i can decode and answer the question. Woa... first group code so long... then the code come to my group that time only left 10 mins. OMG! Meng liao... Managed to decode like half half of every questions. Then got one math question, no time to solve, die man... Got one question free frag give back 5 points: "Twelve TWINS twirled twelve twigs. Are there enough for everyone?" Wa lao, I didn't saw it was TWINS, so I thought enough for everyone. Then it's actually 24 people so not enough.... ARGH !!!!

Third task: Teams are also divided into two groups. First group: Find the code through solving puzzles to unlock the box which is with the second group. Louis and Adrian in second group cause after first group solve the code liao, the people have to use chairs to cross over to the second group... But then hor, the second group people can also try any random combinations to unlock the locks. So cool...! Initially, we thought we got the code by solving the puzzle but it's not the correct code. Lol, the we communicate to second group by putting the paper into the wheel and roll it over... Louis dam pro, managed to get the code by random trying. YAY ! Then we completed the task.

Finally! The competition is over. Great! Scores are out - My team was ranked 9/11... Nevertheless, this is still a good experience for us. The NCC Team managed to represent Singapore/Our School to take part in the Ironman in Taiwan. Wish them all the best!

When I reached home dam tired liao. Going to sleep soon...

Today's consortium assembly is very interesting. Jia Xi and I presented on roots and shoots. Don't know how many people got the message that we are trying to get across. Hope that more Ortusians will join roots and shoots to help us in planning and facilitating of events. You will definitely benefit from it...

Ms Cheong also made a presentation. The title is "Carrot, Egg, Coffee Bean". I saw this story before on emails. But sort of forget liao. But Ms Cheong's presentation sort of refreshed my memories on this story. Ms Cheong's presentation was extremely meaningful and touching. She related her own personal lifestory to the context of the "Carrot, Egg, Coffee Bean". She talked about the moment her family knew her mum got cancer to now how she had accepted the fact. It was really touching. Just imagine suddenly one of your beloved is down with a terminal illness/disease, how would you feel? How would you react? Would you spend as much time as possible with him/her? Or would you rather give up on her? This case is also similar to that of the euthanasia cases. Although the patients are in a PVS, their family members should just cherish the moments they can spend with their beloved ones. At the very least, there is still a hope of recovery/miracle for them... Do not risk the chance of losing them by subjecting them to euthanasia...

Well, we should all look things on the bright side. That's why Math lesson is always interesting! Mr. Png niaoed louis say, "You don't go Mongolia, later you cannot ride the horse. Later the horse ride on you and not you ride on the horse". Lol.. haha...

Today's biology lesson mentioned about "size does not matters..." Lol.. haha.. sort of related to the above paragraph... =)

Lol, after biology lesson at 1520, Louis, Wei Han and Raphael started a "brain-fight", poking into one another's brain. Got some commotion. Then escalated to a physical fight - chasing here and there, hitting here and there, slamming here and there. Oh no! Take pictures! Haha...

After awhile, go eat lunch. The noodles put chilli padi and lots of pepper. So hot! Too hot later bleed.. Lol... But still can take it... lalala...

Then go lab awhile then go back home le..

Reach home, Cao Yue told me going to have fight tomorrow between HCIS and HCI (a real fight)... I smell trouble... Shall see what happens tomorrow........

Hi guys, never blogged yesterday cause nothing much to blog about. But got physics and chemistry practical. Quite fun, practicals are always fun. Physics do magnetic field and Chemistry do exothermic reactions. Then afternoon got roots & shoots meeting. Must really decide on which activity to do le !! But finally, luckily we arrived at a conclusion. Phew...
Don't know why my handphone suddenly spoil. Keypad malfunctioning, argh ! What to do about it? You guess...

Today was quite interesting. I first lesson already dio niaoed by Ms. Gwee liao. She returned a worksheet on tropical rainforests. Then got one question must draw features of a tropical rainforest. Then my epiphytes draw until very "pro", then she exclaimed, "Attack of the epiphytes ah !!" She also mentioned some others who had almost the same mistake as me one lah. Then she remarked, "I must go photocopy all these. Then archive them. When I am tired/bored, I can take these works out and have a good laugh to de-stress!" Lol.. haha, left a great legacy behind already...

Presented on sugar fuel during Chemistry. First group to present so I guess expectations lower hor? Chinese was all-time favourite slacking... Math got homework to do! I don't understand much about trigo differentiation. Die man !

English lessons are getting more and more interesting and fun. Ms. Loh from the everyday scolding become everyday laughter. Today, Kai Qing and Eugene got niaoed. Actually, I already warned them but they don't want to listen to me. I smsed them, "Do not talk among yourselves. She is looking at you". This sms was actually sent during Chinese lesson (but in fact, they were also talking during Chinese lesson). Then the two ganged together, smsed me back, "jealous ah?" Ok, fine lor, don't listen to me. HAHA ! Then English lesson talked among themselves lah, got caught by Ms. Loh.

"Kai Qing, what's the meaning of non-penal?"
"Errr...."
"Eugene, would you like to help him?"

Haha, warned you all le don't want listen lor. Not my problem. Already warned you all during Chinese lesson. I CAN TELL THE FUTURE ! FUTURISTIC IS ONE OF MY TOP 5 STRENGTHS ! Lalalalalalala

At 1400, got English Term Test. About Nepal, so interesting, it's so beautiful. Then, just now, knew from En Loong that it was actually last year Sec 4 EOY English Paper =.=. Teachers are indeed playing their part in recycling => recycling of test questions. Lol... Summary was ultra super diffiuclt. I dont know what to summarise. The scope is just too big. So, just picked a few lines from each paragraphs...

1730 got Mongolia Camp briefing. Looking forward to this camp. Cool! Got to know more details about the camp. So happy! Yay!

Today no flag raising so stayed in class. Then started reading period. Then suddenly got one hornet fly into the classroom through the window which Joshua was sitting near. Then Nicholas got so scared that he immediately dashed to the front of the classroom. The hornet flew around, "scaring" people of 4I. Then also suddenly fly near to me then I also go to front of classroom. Then fly fly fly liao, suddenly fly out of window. Good opportunity - everyone slammed close the windows. Whee! No more hornet! However, Mr. Ang Lai Chiang suddenly come in and exclaimed, "You all starting a riot ah?" =.= No one answered. Actually, someone should answer and help defend our class. But, never mind since he did nothing much too our class.

Chinese period was dam slack. Within two periods must complete one close passage and comprehension which is from the 2004 O Level Higher Chinese Paper 2. Then counted as assignment marks ! Argh! But still managed to finished 5 mins before lesson ended.

After Chinese was P.E. Today 2.4km test. Woa, scared! But tell myself must relax. Started running and stopped after running for 4 rounds to walk awhile. My leg still hurts after 800m on thursday and due to the fact that I did not even get a good rest due to Sixer Training Camp during weekend. Nevertheless, timing => 12:50 ! yay! I think i missed C grade by 10 seconds.

Physics was interesting. Started on electromagnetic induction. Then suddenly Mr. Tan said:

"Hard hard go in,
soft soft come out,
in out in out,
got juice come out"
What's that? SUGAR CANE lah! Don't think dirty. Haha.

Got niaoed during English lesson. After presenting on children rights and women rights. Ms Loh was having a discussion. Then i was looking somewhere else with my attention not paid to her. Then she said I was being "very attentive". Yes, I was being very attentive what, I looked somewhere else but that does not mean that I am not listening. Haiz, never mind.

Today also gave pull-up training a skip due to Ironman Competition Briefing. Then after briefing go lunch, after lunch went back home already.

At home do homework. Finally finished at about 2100 plus. Then now settling some roots & shoots stuff.

Sunday, April 8, 2007
Weekend was spent in Greenridge Primary School for sixer training camp. Went there to act as faciliator for the camp. Enjoyed myself quite a lot. Except for the fact that some of my group people do not want to cooperate when doing things. Then I shouted a lot, nearly lost my voice by day 1. But generally, they were quite good, enthusiastic, obedient.

Throughout the camp, there were happy and sad moments. Had to push them to walk faster during the day 2 hike, settle down, sit down. All these have to shout. Even write reflections also don't want to write, have to force. Force already no use, then too bad lor. What can I do? Anyone tell me? Pump them ah? No way, I get killed by their parents.

Finally, day 3 came. Woke up at 7.45a.m (latest ever woke up in camp). Felt so great. I will be leaving camp at 9.00a.m to go for medical checkup. Went down for breakfast. Saw my group's cub scouts. They were enjoying breakfast. After breakfast, sat down with them. Then gave sort of like a closing speech. They enjoyed the camp, learnt a lot of things, no regrets in coming to this camp. I think they felt sad that I was leaving (Oh ! Lol...) I wished them success in their future scouting life as cub scouts and scouts (if they ever continue) and hope to see them once again in future years. Then said, "BYE-BYE, SAYONARA!"

Reached home, went for medical check-up first. Really dam tired. Luckily, most of the homework was completed le. Ok, did some more homework. Now, after blogging, I am going to sleep le. Tomorrow still got 2.4km test...

Today double physics went through SPA Skill 3. Woa, Physics one is quite different than that of Biology one. Then must do one practice as homework. Lol, then left 10 mins, don't know why ended up talking about taking part in Sports Meet. Mr. Tan shared his experience that he had when he was our age. He said he did not win but it's taking part for the sake of having fun! I agree with him that it is fun taking part, you do not really lose out anything physical. However, sometimes one just cannot overcome the embarrassment and laughters/niaoings. Nevertheless, I am going to take part in 800m event on Thursday. At least get a 7th. Lol...

Today also get back IHC mock test. Mrs. Giam only managed to mark 2 questions out of the 4. Then i scored 8/12, not like Jun Hui, 11/12. But then quite a miracle lah, I thought I wouldn't do well but still, quite satisfactory results.

Chemistry lesson was quite slack. First period teach and go through Chemistry stuffs. Then second period go computer lab do structured ACE. Yay! Mr. Vincent Tan rawks, give us opportunity for ACE. My group got Wei Han, Hwa Pheng and Jun Lin, thinking of doing on sugar fuel. First time heard of this as it is new, technology just reported this year. This was found by Wei Han. Great job !

After school, got Start-up meeting. Haha, settled more stuffs. But shall not divulge here, cause got rival teams out there. Wish all the teams all the best! Cat 11 Prelims coming liao, work hard!

Reached home very tired liao but still have to finish homework. ENDURE!

Take care,

Monday, April 2, 2007
Hi guys, it's been about 5 days since i last blogged. I did not have the mood to blog as I was feeling a bit sianz... Yes, it's this word sianz again, but what does it mean? what does it entail? I don't think there's a fixed definition to it, it's just a natural feeling that just comes to you. Experience it yourself then !

Well, I have thought it over, it's rather tiring for both me and you (the reader) to type and read the whole long post respectively. Thus, I think I will just blog the main events of the day. If not, people ask, "Why your blog so long one ah?" Quite true though. So... yah.. change lor.

Let's summarise the events:

Thursday:
Got called up by Madam Wang to answer questions. Dam crappy, don't think I did a good job. Did not really elaborate much. Then she keep on socratic questioning me, then I stonned. xD. But don't know how much I got lah.

During assembly, got music performance by 4B & 4C. 4B performed Luo Zhi Xiang's "Jing Wu Men". It was a nice and interesting attempt. But, the impact and fast rhythm is not there. I supposed this song was supposed to be impactful. I couldn't really feel the impact though. But overall, it was quite good. Also during assembly, got the Justin Lim talk: Talk about dress sense. Then got what measure your leg, determine your body shape (triangle, trapezium, rectangle, just no hemispherical (hehe...) ).

Last two periods got Biology Revision Test. Completely GG-fied, don't know how to do a lot of questions. Then got back Pop-Quiz - saddening marks. Guess how much i got? FAIL...

Friday:
First two periods - Double chinese. Went through answers for O level Higher Chinese Paper 2. Then don't know why, Madam Wang kept on repeating some of the points she said. Then 2nd last period got IHC mock test. Completely owned by Ms Adeline Tan cause Mrs. Giam not here then she relief. Excerpts:

"4I, when you see such a pretty teacher like me ! You should know how to suppress your raging hormones!"
"4I, I am not going to start until i see the rows and I am going to leave at 1250 sharp. No extra time !"
"This class is really disgusting, you know what is disgusting or not? So dirty and the notice board is so ugly"
"4I, you are deteriorating, really deteriorating." (Did she relief us before? Where is the comparison drawn =.= )

After school ended, went to help out in Scouts for the Sec 1 to Sec 3 camp. Supposed to help out for inspection and tent-pitching. In the end, ended up buying and carrying food for the camp. Lol... Because raining then cannot do inspection and tent-pitching. The Sec 3s's foodlist not properly done so had to spend some time, planning and doing. Then finally, at 1600 plus, went to Coronation NTUC to buy. Really bought a lot. Total amount is about $270 plus plus. After helping them carry food back, went home liao. I still need to do reports to be handed in on Saturday.

Saturday:
Went for Venture activity. Lol, no flag break cause i think the Scouts already did it in the morning. Actual activity started only at 9.15a.m with rescue signals test. Quite easy, got one question wrong but still passed! Yay! Then footdrill => drill, drill, drill. Luckily, I command quite good (haha), then passed. Most of them passed, cause quite easy. Just need to:

1. Size according to tester's requirements
2. 5 Langa
3. 10 Begrag
4. Marching - pusing, impek, pandang, hormat, tuka, beloh

Today, so happy, passed 5 tests altogether (3 reports, 1 rescue signals test and 1 footdrill test)
Yay, then all finish commanding liao, just nice 1145 => Dismissed !
Went back home and slacked, i think i watched quite a lot of TV programmes on Saturday...

Sunday:
Woke up at 0900. Parents went to temple and pray already. As usual, I watched the children programmes until 1100. Then went online, saw only a few people online. Nothing much to do actually. I think after that, ate lunch. Then after lunch, continued watching TV programmes. During weekends, on channel 8 at 1530, got "Price of Peace - He Ping De Dai Jia - Hwa Pheng's Price" xD. Then slacked all the way until night then go sleep...

Today:
Madam Wang came in and want to finish going through O level paper => left summary only. Then she summarised herself on the spot, cause she keep on pausing to think then we know she don't have answer key. Moreover, she keep on changing the answer. And the answer scheme came out to became screwed up. For one sentence, you can get 6 marks... =.=. Never mind, no choice, accept reality. Then she collated all the scores...

Then today also nothing much lah. Because last few periods also quite slack, go computer lab do research but actually chit-chatting. Math went through test paper. Luckily got A1, but low A1... Got 2 full marks in class. Congrats those, I wish you next time in test get 101%.

After school, went for weights training. So little people only. Great! Can use the facilities more efficiently. Then as usual, train the usual stuffs. Lol. After weights, got roots & shoots meeting. Asked Philemon to go ask his brother and father more about light pollution le. Should be able to start churning out more concrete details soon. Finally! Can get started le! The meeting only a short while so went back home after that. Nothing much for today though. Today also no homework ! Haha!...

That's all
Blog again tomorrow (Summarised version)
